AES Mixer Seals (AES CSM)

The CSM™ cartridge single seal for mixers is available in a wide range of seal face, elastomer and alloy combinations, to suit individual applications.

Features: Single cartridge seal, can accept radial movement up to 0.062″ (1.5mm), can be used on mixers with long, overhanging shafts. Suitable for top entry agitator service and vapor applications, exotic alloy wetted parts available for use with corrosive chemicals.

Sizes available from 1.000″ to 5.000″ (24mm – 125mm) in standard and ANSI Plus gland formats larger sizes up to 12.000″ (300mm) available on request.

AES Mixer Seals (AES Mix Master 1)

The CSWIB™ (Mixmaster I) is a single cartridge mechanical seal, with balanced seal faces and an integral (steady) bearing.

Features: Designed for agitators and mixers, fitted with an integral bearing to stabilize shaft and seal faces. Ideal for use on mixers with long, overhanging shafts, Quench and drain ports can provide cooling or heating to maximize seal life in arduous applications

AES Mixer Seals (AES Mix Master 2)

The DSWIB™ (Mixmaster II) is a double mixer seal with integral bearing and concentric face design to reduce the seal’s overall length.

The seal is offered with the following features: Designed for agitators and mixers, fitted with an integral bearing to stabilize shaft and seal faces. Ideal for use on mixers with long, overhanging shafts, Quench and drain ports can provide cooling or heating to maximize seal life in arduous applications.

AES Mixer Seals (AES SCMS)

The SCMS™ Mixer seal is specifically designed for use on a broad range of mixers, agitators and reactor applications. It is suitable for side entry (flooded) or top entry (running in vapor) mounting. The modular SCMS™ design facilitates both wet and dry running versions.

AES Single Seals (AES CURC)

The AESSEAL CURC™, CRCO™ and CURE™ mechanical seals are part of a range of seals specifically designed to optimize the use of Silicon Carbide. All these seals incorporate improved third generation self aligning technology. The design objective was to minimize metal to Silicon Carbide impact, particularly on start–up.

In some seal designs, impact between metal anti–rotation pins and Silicon Carbide can be sufficiently severe to induce stress cracking in the Silicon Carbide. Silicon Carbide has many advantages when used in mechanical seals. The material has superior chemical resistance, hardness and heat dissipation properties compared to practically any other material used as a mechanical seal face. Silicon Carbide is, however, brittle by nature, so the design of the self–aligning stationary in the CURC™ range of mechanical seals seeks to minimize this metal to Silicon impact on start–up.

AES Single Seals (AES SCUSI)

A short externally mounted cartridge seal, with flush ports and self-aligning faces. With the aid of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), a range of seals were designed to optimize the use of Silicon Carbide. This third generation seal incorporates an improved self-aligning concept and prevents shock damage to Silicon Carbide on start-up, which is the most significant reason for Silicon Carbide damage in other seal designs.

In addition, the spring loaded rotary centrifuges solids away from the seal face and resists clogging, increasing the range of general service applications to include slurries and some abrasives. Faces remain flat, square to the shaft and suspended solids are prevented from crossing the flat seal faces.

AES Single Seals (AES SMSS)

The AESSEAL® range of single cartridge mechanical seals has been specifically designed to eliminate some of the main causes of premature mechanical seal failure.

AES Single Seals (AES SMSS23)

A single cartridge stationary seal with integral Plan 23. Coupled with a Heli coil cooler. The seal provides the most efficient sealing solution for this piping arrangement. Extremely effective Plan 23 with bi-directional integral pumping ring, ideal for boiler feed and boiler circulation duties.

Integral inboard restriction bush configuration, adapted to suit the equipment, total solution available including heat exchanger. Hydraulically balanced seal face technology for reduced power consumption, non-shaft-fretting sleeve elastomer and positive set screw drive. Multiple spring seal-face loading and stationary design suitable for high speed applications.

AES Split Seals (AES ISOS)

The ISOS™ (inflatable shut-off seal) is fitted between the pump and a radially-divided seal, to form a separate seal when required, allowing the quick and easy removal of the mechanical seal. The ISOS™ works around the principal of surrounding the shaft with an inflatable elastomeric bladder.

Under normal operating conditions, when the mechanical seal is working, the bladder remains unpressurized. When the mechanical seal fails or needs removing, the bladder can be inflated, thereby mechanically sealing the shaft. The seal can then be easily removed without draining or isolating the equipment.
